The Newark Catholic seventh-grade boys' basketball team celebrated an extraordinary season, culminating in an undefeated record. Their journey to glory concluded with a decisive 51-45 victory against Zanesville in the Licking County League tournament's final match. This remarkable achievement highlights the team's dedication and skill throughout the season.

Key players demonstrated exceptional performance in the championship game. Reid Gebhart delivered a standout performance, contributing 19 points and securing 10 rebounds, while Tate Tucci added 15 points to the team's tally. In the semifinal match against Watkins, Layton Cox led the scoring with 18 points, complemented by Tucci's 16 points, leading to a 53-40 win.

The team's success is a testament to the collective effort of all its members, including Lyncoln Cooper, Jaxson Eveland, Grayson Gilligan, Hudson Lavery, Sam Windon, Cameron Newsome, Lucas Schiele, Heath Gillespie, Dylan Taylor, and Luke Guanciale.
